Crazy day. I end up cancelling some afternoon activities as am glued to the TV and internet. Twitter alive with rumours of Greens walking out and I am back and forth with my CM playing out possible scenarios. Are we going to be running up lampposts in a few hours? Phonecalls and more phonecalls. And then the date is set. Crazy day.

I leave the apartment to head up to the office for a delivery of some campaign material. Get to a few emails but they’re really building up on me and I’m annoyed that we don’t have a PoC on this yet.

As I head off for a canvass I wonder will we actually make it to March. Somehow I doubt it.

We do a brief canvass in Sandymount and then in to the party. Great turnout, great mix of people – the guys have done good. I spend the next 5 hours just talking and it’s great to catch up with some of the gang. Good to see new and old vols together, some catching up from the last campaign.

Late night but there are more ahead.
