Public Accounts Committee to investigate DDDA
Posted June 11th, 2012This week, The Public Accounts Committee investigated the Dublin Docklands Development Authority following the publication of a Special Report by the Comptroller and Auditor General. As you may know, the DDDA was part of a consortium that purchased the Irish Glass Bottling site in Ringsend in 2007 for €416 million. The site was valued last year at €45 million and the deal is said to have cost the Authority €56 million.
There are many other issues surrounding the DDDA and on Thursday we will had the opportunity to question the Authorities activities in full and also to discuss Minister Hogan’s plan for the winding up of the Authority. The PAC is likely to meet on a number of occasions in its investigation of this matter.
