As part of the review, a consultation process with parents and representative groups will be undertaken to ensure that they have an opportunity to voice their concerns in relation to the administration of the scheme.

While this review is taking place, reviews of individual Domiciliary Care Allowance claims are being suspended, everyone who is awaiting a decision has been notified of this. The review will be completed by the end of December 2012.
