Educating kids (and myself) about FinancePosted March 10th, 2017
I was delighted to speak at the Ulster Bank / Early Learning Initiative (ELI) book launch in the Docklands this week.
The book, which teaches children about money and finance, is a collection of stories written by local primary school kids. Children as young as 5 writing and illustrating their stories about the use of money in everyday life. It’s a great publication and includes such classics as “The Super Saving Hot Dog” and “Robots, Kids and Money”.
The ELI is a fantastic initiative that combats educational underachievement in marginalised communities. Ulster Bank’s Skills and Opportunities Fund provided resources for the Finance Literary Programme which was run as part of the After Schools programme.
You can find out more about the ELI here.
