GE11-Thank you
Posted February 27th, 2011A huge thank you to everyone for your support, encouragement and of course number one votes. Eoghan took 5,783 first preferences, a 16.56% share, 2nd after Lucinda Creighton and third across the line overall on the 9th count. It was a wonderful result and Eoghan greatly appreciates the faith that the voters of Dublin South East have shown in him. More will follow but for now Eoghan would just like to say thank you.
Vote Eoghan #1 tomorrow

GE11-Same Sex Marriage – Notice
Posted February 24th, 2011There’s been a lot of discussion relating to same sex marriage over the past few days – so to clarify, my view is that the state should not discriminate against people based on their sexuality.
Homosexual couples should be allowed to marry.
Eoghan.

It’s an opportunity to get out, blow out the cobwebs, have some fun and show your support. Sunday is the LAST full day we have left so it’s vital that we get out a big crowd and keep the positivity going for the final days of the campaign!
It’ll be a fun, low intensity run so all levels are welcome. Even if you don’t fancy running but want to show your support, please drop by! It is hugely appreciated.
Next weekend it’ll be all over, so let’s give it one last push and leave everything out on the field!

Thank you from Eoghan
Posted February 16th, 2011Hi there,
With eight full days left till polling day I am writing to thank you so much for your support.
Your help so far has been unbelievable. It’s been great to have so many of you on the campaign trail and has made it more enjoyable as a result!!
We’ve had a great few weeks– we’ve walked the length and breadth of the constituency.
Together we’ve canvassed houses, dropped flyers and spread the Fine Gael message across Dublin South East. The next eight days are crucial and if Fine Gael are going to win two seats in Dublin South East I need all the support you can give me.
You can help in any way possible – there are canvasses to be done, flyers to be dropped, envelopes to be stuffed and a number of meet & greets to take place across the constituency between now and polling day. If you don’t have the time for this but you believe in me can you simply talk to your friends/neighbours and encourage them to give Eoghan Murphy their number 1 vote.
Please email back if you, family or friends have any extra time to help in any way, or contact Suzanne Sullivan on 086 379 7291, or just drop into the office at Ranelagh Triangle.
Thanks again for the terrific support, and I hope to see you on the campaign trail!
Best regards
Eoghan
Ballotbox.ie
Posted February 15th, 2011Generations of Irish people have been forced to leave the country because of the failings of government. They should have a say in how our government is elected, and they should have a say in how Ireland can get back to being a place where they are able to return.
Ballotbox.ie is a General Election 11 website dedicated to Irish emigrants who are not permitted to vote. If you are an emigrant you can register on the site to cast symbolic votes for the candidates of your choice, in order to highlight the current flaws in Irish law surrounding the issue.
Eoghan and Fine Gael’s policy on this is to begin by giving passport holders the right to vote in the next presidential election at their local embassy. Then we can take it from there. Ballotbox.ie is a positive means to encourage extending the franchise.
