Saturday walkabout

All,

This weekend I’m planning a walk through the constituency and I’d love if you could join me.

We’re going to meet in the Ranelagh office @ 10am on Saturday and take a walk around the constituency until 1pm. At 1pm we’re going to have lunch in McSorleys in Ranelagh and then go out again from 2pm. Finishing up @ 5pm back in Ranelagh.

Can you join?? I want to make an impact this Saturday and for this I really need your support. You’ve all been brilliant so far with all your help but this Saturday is about doing an event together, showing the numbers and making some noise in Dublin South East.

Just a note – on Thursday we’re going to have a drink in Kiely’s Donnybrook from 9pm after canvassing. Hope you can join regardless of if you’ve been canvassing.

Newstalk GE11 charity match

Eoghan will be at Newstalk’s General Election 2011 charity football match tomorrow and will captain the red team. The event takes place at the Irishtown pitch tomorrow, Wednesday, at 3pm. The event is being held for the Barnardos Children’s Charity. It’s a great cause and should draw a good crowd to support it, with legends John Giles and Keith Wood also attending, so by all means pop by!

• 10am canvass on lombard street – meeting point Ranelagh Office
• 12:30pm meet and greet @ Mortons, Ranelagh
• 2pm canvass on Ovoca Road – meeting point Ranelagh office
• 5pm meet and greet @ Spar Barrow Street
• 5pm meet and greet @ Superquinn, Rathgar
• 6:15pm canvass leaving from Office to go to two different locations.

The weekend push

Tomorrow is the 3 week till voting day deadline and we’ve a busy weekend ahead.  We need your support on the campaign trail – the weather is getting worse but just think after three weeks we can all sit back and say we made a difference and got Murphy elected.  On the 27th of February I want us all to wake up with a smile on our faces and a celebration party to look forward to.

Saturday 5^th February:

• Meet @ 10am outside the Spar in Ringsend – address is 14 Thorncastle Street, Ringsend, Dublin 4.  The plan is to be in the Ringsend area until 2pm doing a mixture of meet & greets along with some canvassing.
• Join Team Murphy in The Waterloo Pub on Baggott Street from 2:15pm to watch Ireland V Italy
• Following the match Eoghan will then be leaving with a group from The Waterloo Pub @ 4pm and making his way up through Ranelagh, Rathmines and Rathgar – join him along the way and help secure the number 1 vote for him!

Sunday 6^th February:

• Meet @ 2:30pm in The Portobello Bar beside The Portobello bridge
• Flyer drop across the constituency will take place between 2pm and 6pm – join in and get to know the constituency

Deadline for Supplementary Register for Postal Voters – Correction – TODAY

Today, Thursday the 3rd of Feb is the deadline for anyone wishing to add themselves to the postal register for the election on the 25th.

The form (RFA2) for getting on the supplemental register is available here.   Sections of the form must be filled out in the presence of a member of an Garda Síochána at your local Garda station, and you may be required to present a form of ID (passport, drivers license) as well as proof of address (such as a utility bill).

If you’re already registered but have changed address and are now located in a different constituency (you can check where you are registered here), you need to fill out the RFA3 form, located here.
